Working in East Africa since 2003, Travulous is the creation of Kristin McGee and Richard Pfäffli, the former Travel Provider and Tour Consultant for the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund in Rwanda and the US.

With over 20 years of experience in the travel, tourism and events industries, Kristin & Richard have extensive experience of designing one-of-a-kind luxury travel experiences in East Africa, for both the travel trade and customers who book direct.

Travulous takes great pride in creating authentic, immersive and memorable travel itineraries and off-the-beaten-path activities, executing every trip in Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania to perfection.

Our team handles all the logistics for a trip, ranging from ground transfers, private flights and accommodation bookings to the coordination of venue and dining requirements.

This comprehensive support enables our specialist Driver Guides and Tour Leaders to focus on what they do best: providing you with a unique Behind the Scenes insight into a range of fascinating topics. These include mountain gorilla conservation, Big Five conservation initiatives, endangered wildlife sanctuaries, authentic educational experiences, and East Africa’s history, customs, and traditions.

Dividing their time between Travulous’ offices in Kigali and Kampala, Kristin and Richard are avid explorers and travel enthusiasts.
